Leveled Assessments

Leveled assessments are a support tool for teachers to help gauge their students’ strengths and weaknesses against national standards. They provide teachers and parents with reliable feedback on student progress in relation to standards and benchmarks. In addition, strategies are suggested for helping students achieve mastery in areas targeted by the assessments.  Examples of leveled assessments include:

STAR (reading)

AR (accelerated reading)

Math (Pre and Post)

Eval-U-Write

Classical education

Developmental learning

Reading and writing across the curriculum

Enrichments and interventions
